Attendants assist residents with their daily needs while fostering independence and self-reliance. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including feeding, eating, personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and mobility.
  • Teach techniques to promote independence and self-reliance.
  • Utilize adaptive tools or methods specific to individual needs.
  • Ensure safety and dignity during all activities.
  • Encourage residents’ active participation to build confidence and maintain functional abilities.
